SOTRAFA, S.A. belongs to the Armando Alvarez Group, the largest one transforming plastics in Spain.

We control our raw material, process and finished product following the ISO 9002 norms for the trazability of the products.

The first step is the control of the raw material. The polyethylene, coming from the petrochemical companies, is analysed and classified when it arrives at Sotrafa.
After that, the low or high density polythylene is transformed into sheets with different widths and thickness, depending on the final application of the product.

We have two different ways of manufacturing :

Blow system: with thickness from 0.015mm to 0.75mm, and widths from 1m to 18,30m
Cast-in system: Thickness from 1mm to 2.5mm and two different widths 5.8 meters and 7.5 meters.

When the Geomembranes are manufactured, all their properties are analyzed in the laboratory, registering all the information, useful for the guaratee of the product.
The material will be ready for the expedition and delivery to the customer.
